Wayne Glanville Memorial Fund
On September 11, 2015, many were shocked to hear the sudden passing of Wayne Glanville, a loving father and husband, a passionate and professional tennis coach, and a good friend to many. It is hard to believe that life was cut short for someone who lived so actively and enthusiastically.
As we mourn the passing of Wayne, we are at the same time celebrating his life. With over 17 years coaching experience, Wayne has worked with nationally ranked university players in the US and with nationally ranked junior players in Japan, in Hong Kong he was the tennis director at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and in the past year he was a private coach at Wong Ngai Chung Tennis Centre. Many of us have known Wayne for his passion, professionalism and enthusiasm for tennis. His patience with kids has won him many young fans on court and his lessons were something that all his students looked forward to.
Wayne has left behind a loving family in Tokyo and in Hong Kong - widow Roxanne Brave Glanville and son Tristan Edward Glanville. Roxanne is a homemaker and with Wayne’s sudden passing, her family will be without steady income for quite a while. This memorial fund is set up for all of us who want to lend our support to the Glanville family during this difficult time. The funds will be used for Tristan Edward Glanville’s education and well-being.
Please share this with Wayne’s extended network in Australia, Tokyo and Hong Kong who might want to reach out to help his family.
