Following the inspiring success of #CookForSyria in the UK, the Hong Kong version is a new nationwide fundraising initiative– a month-long campaign kicking off on 26 October, 2017 to benefit children affected by the largest humanitarian crisis of our time in Syria.

Throughout November restaurateurs, chefs, bakers and café owners from Hong Kong have been invited to take part in #CookForSyria by putting a ‘Syrian inspired twist’ to one of their favourite signature dishes and donating HK$20 from each sale of that dish. Syrian cuisine is one of the oldest in the world and reflects the country’s rich cultural heritage. 

We are also asking people to cook at home and host their own supper clubs and bake sales following the recipes and tips at http://cookforsyria.com/recipe/ 

Coming into it's sixth year of conflict. Syrians are facing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Through the #CookForSyria campaign we will raise vital funds and awareness of the situation in Syria and benefit UNICEF's Syrian crisis appeal.
