How to Participate

Register                Register and secure donations to support your Walk

• Individual Registration: suitable for all participants
• Family Registration : suitable for family participants

* Participants are welcome to form their own online Walk groups. To compete the Top Walk Group Award, please insert your group name in the registration form.

Note: Walk groups are for online calculations only. Participants should keep social distancing in activities.

Record                  Take walks during 22 March -22 April 2021 at convenient times and safe locations of your choice, and use any type of step counting devices or mobile APPs to track steps during the walks.

Report                   Upload your best step record for a single day (jpg, png, jpeg, less than 1MB) through Event Page, by 25 April 23:59.

Share                     Publish your healthy, funny and memorable Walk moments to your friends on social media, and tag #WLW2021 #Walk4UWalk4Others.

Support                 Participants could also contribute directly to the event, or set-up you personal fundraising page, and invite you families and friends to support this meaningful event.

Awards

*Soft copy of the Participation Certificates will be e-mailed to registered e-mail addresses of the eligible participants in June 2021.

All prizes and souvenirs will be mailed to registered post address (Hong Kong local address only) of eligible participants in July 2021.

Amity Walk for Living Water 2021 Terms & Conditions

• The Organizer reserves the right of final decisions regarding all matters including participant qualification, imposing and modification of event rules, dispute over competition results and etc..
• Participants must provide local mailing addresses in Hong Kong when registering for the Walk if they choose to receive donation receipts from the Organizer.
• Participants must make sure the submission and uploaded information and content are true, accurate and original. The Organizer reserves the rights to disqualify the participant without prior notice in the event of any false information, infringement of intellectual property of a third party, or false accounts and other acts of the participants that violate laws and regulations.
• Participants must use their own step tracking devices or mobile APPs, for step recording purposes. The Organizer accepts any kind of commercial devices for use in the event.

Each participant (individual/family), with confirmation of their registration from the Organizer, is provided three opportunities to upload the most satisfying step records onto the event online page. Please contact the Organizer should there be any problem or difficulty in uploading the step records.

• Participants must only upload relevant text, images and videos to Walk for Living Water or Living Water Campaign. No obscene, indecent, libelous or other unlawful contents are allowed. The Organizer reserves the right to delete, modify and forward content uploaded by the participants when necessary.
• By participating in the event, the participants agree to grant to Amity Foundation Hong Kong and its affiliates a license to publish, exhibit, distribute, reproduce, create derivative works and otherwise, in any lawful purpose, their uploaded content, including images, sounds, videos, text and other personal data voluntarily publicized already.
• All personal data collected will be treated as strictly confidential and only used for issuing receipts and distributing event related information. Participants can choose not to receive any communication material from Amity Foundation Hong Kong when registering.
• Upon successful registration, participants agree the following Disclaimer and the Event Terms and Condition:
• I/we enter this activity at my/our own risk(s) and I/we are fully aware of and willing to abide by the rules, conditions and all other arrangements/decisions laid down by the Organizer.
• My/our health condition(s) is/are capable of participating in this event, and I/we will not hold the Organizer responsible for any accident or mishap which may cause injury or death or for any damage to or loss or destruction of personal property before, during or after the event.
• All the information filled in the Application Form is true and accurate.

About the Amity Living Water Campaign

What is Walk for Living Water 2021?

The Living Water Campaign started in 2010, aims to raise public awareness on the global water crisis, and encourage people to make actions, to help improving the water and sanitation situations in poor areas. The Walk for Living Water is an annual walkathon of the Project. This event is in response to UN World Water Day campaign that aims to inform, engage and inspire action. This is the 2nd year of organizing a virtual walkathon.

How the funds will be used?

With the global epidemic raging, the needs of safe drinking water and sanitation in poor areas require extra attention. The fund raised is going to be used in areas in need in Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, to build water and sanitation facilities, to improve the health and living conditions, as well as supporting awareness education on water conservation and environmental protection. The Project has supported to build 30 water and sanitation facilities for villages and schools.
