Sports as a Christmas Gift
Project by : InspiringHK Sports Foundation
Have you ever thought that you can offer "Sports" as a Christmas gift to brighten up the lives of underprivileged youth?
InspiringHK Sports Foundation (InspiringHK) is going to hold 3rd Anniversary Celebration & Award Presentation on 20 Dec (Sun). In this exciting event we will do 10,000 push-ups together with over 200 InspiringHK friends including corporate sponsorships and supporters! Through sweat and tears, we are going to take InspiringHK to the next level.
Our ambassadors Alex Fong (holder of numerous Hong Kong records) and Mrs. Yiu Kit-ching (Hong Kong's 4th Marathoner to take part in the Olympics) is taking part and calls for your support in the video! If we reach our fund-raising target, Rex Tso (Hong Kong world-class boxer) will also join us on that day and achieve 10,000 push-ups with us.
We are doing all this to raise funds to start a 2-year, free-of-charge swimming course for underprivileged South Asian boys. The money will go into paying for programme essentials such as coaches, venues and competition fees.
Make the dream of joining professional sports training of a group of boys come true by supporting us!
Rex Tso practised push-ups with InspiringHK's kids.
Our Goal
To raise HK$50000 to launch a 2-year, free-of-charge swimming course for 10 -12 South Asian boys in Kwun Tong (tentative) in 2016.
Why Swimming for South Asian Boys?
InspiringHK came to know a group of passionate South Asian Boys wanting to developing sportsmanship qualities through learning swimming. The course will provide a platform for them to mingle with local students, such as through joining competitions, enabling them to better understand local culture and customs. At the same time, we hope to appeal for the public's attention and support towards ethnic minorities.
We have chosen swimming because it is a full body exercise that greatly strengthens physical and cardiovascular fitness. Taking part in relay competitions will also nurture students' team spirit. More importantly, it is a basic survival skill useful for a life time.
One of the InspiringHK's ambassadors, Mr. Chan Ka-ho, keeps practising push-ups for the special mission.
