About Tse Wan Kin's Fundraiser
I target to raise HK$500 for Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled.
I had decided to take actions to cheer every athlete and perspective sport event volunteer who encountered failures when Vanessa Sahinovic and Kira Grunberg were paralysed from accidents more than two years ago. At this moment, some sort of charity events and supportive events had just begun, aiming to help them recover from major injuries. Not only did I make donations to help Kira rehabilitate from severe injury, I also shared some photos which related to artistic swimming to help Vanessa return to a wonderful world of artistic swimming in an identity of inclusive ambassador.
However, being a youngster, I am just being keen to run on road nowadays: I need to take another approach to help them because I don't know how to swim. It was in mid-November 2015 when the weather was slightly cool. I accidentally won the funniest outfit award in the Run for Food Race when I first wore a one-piece racing swimsuit to take part in distance running events. This made me feel surprised and, it indirectly encouraged me to take part in distance running events in such outfit. Even though I had been encountered strange insights and criticisms from that action, I did not change my mind in anyway. I raced in a professional and avant-garde outfit like a female triathlete, receiving praises from many runners in the same field. I have gained many finisher medals from distance running races and obstacle races taken part in different places in more than two years, especially those sponsored by voluntary agencies and charitable organisations. In the beginning of last year, I became the first athlete to race in swimsuit in the Jockey Club Vitality Run and Standard Chartered Marathon 10km race respectively. I became the interviewee from mass media twice because of this.
A few months later, I used the term "Artistic Runner and Dancer"(花樣跑舞者) as the wordings in the Bib Number cloth in the Charity PB Run 2017 Series. I had a brand new interpretation for the action to race for every athlete and perspective sport event volunteer who encountered failures since then, because the term "Artistic Runner and Dancer" could best reflect some sort of my basic objectives to take part in distance running events and street dancing events with fancy dresses: to protect his/her body and mind from being harmed as well as his/her dignity; to cheer for every fierce and brave perspective volunteer who has not been selected to serve Multi-sports Games in actions; and to make tributes to a number of athletes who have become sportspersons with disabilities after accidents. In the blink of an eye, it has been about time to be my fourth year to volunteer in another approach. I have taken many photos in event venues when I am taking part in a heroic way, thereby inviting some colleagues in the same field to take photos for me before and after races. I have been filmed by some photographers to record my heroic gestures in running occasionally, apart from being invited by some colleagues to take photographs with different teammates.
I have been a fundraiser to support paralympians taking part in Jakarta Asian Para Games and Tokyo Paralympic Games just because I have taken part in the Standard Chartered Marathon fund raising Campaign at present. In fact, I am in favour to support every brave and strong sportspersons with disabilities, especially those athletes who have become sportspersons with disabilities after accidents. I just want to bring the Youth Paralympic Games to the World and let every single young Hong Kong sportsperson with disability to take part personally in the near future. In addition, I have to take my first priority to cheer for every fierce and brave perspective volunteer that has not been selected to serve Multi-sports Games, because this is my personal will, my personal belief and my personal loyalty to applaud for those who have encountered failures and frustrations in my point of view. Let us log in to my fundraising page now to help more people in need together! At the same time, I would like to share my own story on site from my personal experience.
