After a long work day, the living room is the best place to share your life with your family. Calling on any home accessories store, it is commonplace to come across things that target either adults or children. Home accessories particularly targeting for parent-child are rarely a selling point. So now, let me introduce a collection of parent-child home accessories designs. It evolves from a story 《Gordon b.Bear and his ice-cream kingdom》. The main character Gordon b.Bear is a cheerful fat little boy, who is fascinated with ice-cream desserts. He dreams of building an ice-cream kingdom, which bring sweetness to every corner in the city. Friends of Gordon b.Bear are always there to cheer him up. Gordon b.Bear is an official mascot that represents “the pursuit of dreams”. The project Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream is now shared with you through the online platform Fringebacker, with a 60-day fund-raising project launched at the same time. The fund-raising project for Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream will introduce a series of hand-painted limited edition Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream gift sets as rewards. I have spent nearly half year to create the Gordon b.Bear cartoon character. A subsequent short story themed “the pursuit of dreams” is undergoing. Gordon b.Bear is the official mascot of the “Gordon b.Bear and sweet friends” brand. Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream is a larger and more elaborate version of “Gordon b.Bear and sweet friends” design project.

At the very beginning when the “Gordon b.Bear and sweet Friends” brand was established, merchandise such as cushions, tumblers, coasters, coffee mug, 3D greeting cards were introduced at the Hong Kong Innov Design Tech Expo and Hong Kong International Licensing Show in 2012. The crowdfunding opportunity on Fringebacker to launch Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream makes my dream come true.

“Gordon b.Bear and sweet Friends” Future Development:

If the fund-raising project of Gordon b.Bear @ Color Dream is successful, with all production expenses of hand-painted limited edition gift sets deducted, the balance will go towards production of prototype models, exhibitions and promotions. The selected exhibition venues are HKTDC Design Gallery, which showcases and promotes a variety of products designed in Hong Kong, and bookstores like PageOne and Eslite.

Who Am I?

After graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art & Design Education, I had a stable design job as a graphic design professional, yet I chose to give it up to pursue my dream. I established Cool Y Workshop in 2012 and created the “Gordon b.Bear and sweet friends” cartoon brand. The creation of Gordon b.Bear was simply due to my love of my little nephew, Gordon. He has blue big eyes - he is very special, just like a combination of a teddy bear and the Michelin Man. And the spirit of the brand itself comes from my persistence in pursuing my dream.

What I will use the funds for?
