Shelters Up Nepal (SUN)?
Update on 15 Jun 2015

111 bundles of zinc sheets delivered to 94 families+
Update on 5 Jun 2015
(4.6.2015) After overcoming different hurdles, we finally distributed 111 bundles of zinc sheets to 94 families in Ward 7-9, Saydul, Dhussa VDC, Dhading and Ward 9, Siureuitar, Ghyalchok VDC, Gorkha yesterday. Unfortunately we couldn't distribute the material to 21 families in another village waiting for the jasta pata as the whole truck including our 24 bundles is kept by government official reportedly. We will find our way to get the job done asap. We will provide more details about the trip yesterday soon. For now, you can check out the photos and the descriptions, you will get a sense about our trip yesterday. Big thanks to Madhav Nepal from Mosaic Adventure again, and other local volunteers helping us yesterday.

Village or City?
Update on 30 May 2015
Chuen Man shares his volnteering experience at Saraswati Multiple Campus, Kathmandu. Though it is called a 'camp', 'open space' seems to be a more proper word to describe.
'There were too many people cramped under one or two tarps. There were still spaces to set up more tarps to ease the situation, but the occupants did not have extra tarps. It is hard to believe that they couldn’t even afford to buy a tarp which would cost them about Rp1600 (US$16.00) for the cheapest. The explanations are that some really do not have the money, some rather use the money for food and bear this undesirable sleeping environment.'
