HKAHF Walk & Run for the Heart is the annual fundraising event to raise funds for our Adventist Pediatric Heart Fund. The funds will help underprivileged children who are suffering from congenital heart diseases by providing timely medical treatment and surgery.

HKAHF Walk & Run for the Heart 2014 will be held on November 30 (Sunday) at Cyberport in Pok Fu Lam. The event comprises of both "Walk" and "Run". The Charity Walk is open to all ages joining as a group from 2 to 8 people. Families and friends can join together to enjoy the beautiful Cyberport waterfront while walking along the route. For people who like running and competing for awards, the Charity Run is open for participants of age 8 or above. There are 3 categories - Children, Secondary and Open for participants of different ages.

The Walk and Run event will also include carnival games, face-painting, balloon-twisting, arts & crafts and singing performance, etc. There are food and beverage booths. Sounds interesting to you? Back the event and have fun with us!

Besides participating as runners, you will have opportunities to win our attractive prizes through the Top Fundraising Award for Charity Walk and Charity Run or the Highest Number of Sponsors Award for Charity Walk. BACKGROUND OF PROJECT OWNER

Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation
Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation was established in 1999 with the aim of providing timely medical treatment to the sick and underprivileged children in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Asia, through its, Heart, Hearing, Medical and Orthopaedic Charity Funds. The Foundation also helps adults and the elderly through its Cancer Fund and Eye Fund. In 2010, it expanded its charitable work to Nepal where it provides otological surgery for local children and adults.

Adventist Pediatric Heart Fund
Adventist Pediatric Heart Fund was established in August 2010 to continue the work of Children's Heart Fund. The objective is to help underprivileged children who are suffering from congenital heart diseases. Timely medical intervention is the only hope for these children to lead normal healthy lives. Through cooperative efforts between benevolent donors, dedicated physicians and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, more than 200 families have benefitted. After undergoing corrective surgeries, these children are now living healthily and happily
