About G.B.
The Girls’Brigade Hong Kong (G.B.) is an international uniformed organization serving in Hong Kong over 50 years. Taking Christian belief as the foundation, trough uniformed group training, we nurture females their unique quality characters. Building them up as leader, through serving and caring the community. In this recent years, we have been focusing and caring on women’s right issues, such as anti-human trafficking.

 

Objective

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence, and a sense of responsibility, to find true enrichment of life.

Objective of Fund-raising

To support our members joining leadership training in Hong Kong or oversea via setting up training and developmental fund. Widen of knowledge, developing leadership proficiency, and serve the community.

Awards 

Champion, first runner-up and second runner-up of each race category.

 

E-Certificate

Participants who have completed the competition will receive an e-certificate.

 

Goodie bag

A goodie bag will be given to each participant.


C.Registration Remarks

 

  • Due to limited capacity, all enrolments are first come first served subject. After applications confirmed, registers will received confirmation email.
  • If Amber Rainstorm Signal or higher/ Tropical Cyclone Signal No.3 or higher at or after 12 noon on the event date, the event will be cancelled. Donation will not be returned in this case.
  • All participants should ensure his/her physical fitness for the race and possibly hot weather.
  • The organizer purchases Public Liability Insurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance for the event. Participants, prior to the participation of the event, should purchase insurance to protect their interests, including injury or death. It is the participants’ own duty and responsibility to ensure the insurance coverage.
  • All participants have to discharge the organizer and other individual or organization connected directly or indirectly with the competition from any responsibility in the event of injury, death or loss of property incurred from the orienteering.
  • All personal data provided in the application form are only used for enrollment, event organization and promotion relating to the program. The organizer will remain personal data partially for sending updated information about the “Walk with LOVE – charitable city orienteering” or other event information organized by us.
  • Participants have to grant permission and assign of right, title and interest to the organizer to utilize their appearance, name and voice in connection with the event in any all media throughout the organizer would be perpetuity and agree to waive any right of inspection or approval associated thereto.
  • The Girls’ Brigade Hong Kong reserves the final right of admission and adjustment of the event arrangement.

D.Event Details

 

Orienteering Details

  • 12 checkpoints are set in Yau Tsim Mong District, including 6 compulsory checkpoints and 6 optional checkpoints.
  • Teams only challenge each checkpoint once.
  • Teams must start, arrive each checkpoint and finish together.
  • Teams must finish orienteering within 2 hours, violation of this rule will risk disqualification.
  • Teams who completed the most of checkpoints in shortest period are winners, including 5 compulsory checkpoints.
  • Teams can complete the competition on foot or by cars.
  • All teams will start at S.K.H. All Saints’Middle School. They must register in the finish point and submit the checkpoint record to the Organizer. A goodie bag will be given to each participant.
  • Teams must follow the instructions of traffic lights and laws during the race, and comply with the traffic rules.
