活動概覽 Event at a glance
About the event
The 6th “Run for Survival” charity run, organised by Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK) will return on 22 March 2020 at Pak Shek Kok Promenade. It aims to promote biodiversity and marine conservation, raising awareness on the threats faced by sea animals.
Participants will embark an adventurous journey to become Ocean Guardians after completing missions to save marine animals. Feel free to dress up with an ocean theme during the run to stir up the fun!
The obstacle run is suitable for runners in all ages and limits. More advanced runners and corporate teams could join the 10km individual Timed Challenge, while beginners or families could join 3km Fun Run.
What is more, participants can enjoy more fun and get tips on saving the earth at the mini game booths and workshops inside the Fun & Learn Centre.
Proceeds from this fundraising event will go to OPCFHK to support Asian wildlife conservation works. Invite your friends and family and register now for this charity run!
Race Categories
*Participants shall decide the race category based on their age as of 22 March 2020 (event date).
*3km Fun Run will not be a timed challenge and given any awards.
* Please note that 10 km Timed Challenge is an obstacle run, participants may take more time to finish the race than regular 10km run.
*The Corporate Champion Cup 10 km Timed Challenge will only calculate the average time used by the top 4 runners in each team.

A Find the Way Out
Navigate your way out the maze to experience how marine life struggles to swim across the ocean filled with abandoned fishing nets and marine trash.
B The Great Pacific Garbage Patch
Break through the hurdles representing the harsh underwater world near the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch."
C Help the Corals
Go across the tires indicating the devastating impact to the corals caused by deep-sea trawling and learn the importance of marine conservation.
D Break through Acidic Ocean
Acid rain is the result of pollution and soaring carbon emissions. Contaminated water falls into the ocean bringing adverse impacts to the aquatic ecosystem. Set off your exploration journey by climbing over the water slide and braving the rough sea.
E Save the Ocean Victims After a journey of twists and turns, head to the Animal Rescue Centre and save the marine life from danger.
F Overfishing Danger
Overfishing causes drastic reduction on fish stocks, endangers the marine ecosystem.
Accomplish the final mission by choosing the recommended seafood choices from the Sustainable Seafood Guide. Make your way out the fish nets challenge and become a wise consumer.

Event Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
1. Enrolment
- Participants must study the event terms and conditions carefully. Upon submitting an entry, participant is deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions of the event, the official rules as stipulated and to those that may be later introduced by the Organizer, Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK) .
- All the information provided by a participant in the registration form must be true and accurate.
- Participation in the Event is voluntary and at the own risk of participants. Each participant agrees to absolve the Organizer, Event Producer and any sponsors and/or supporting organizations from all liabilities arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by travelling to and from the event venue, during in the event or whatsoever reason.
- All participants / groups must settle the payment of the minimum donation upon enrolment.
- OPCFHK will not accept any request for change after the completion of the enrolment.
-OPCFHK reserves the right to cancel the enrolment of any participants without refund of the donation if they have provided false information, failed to make the required payment, submitted more than one application or failed to meet the enrolment requirements. OPCFHK reserves the right to contact participants by phone or other means for any additional information required for their enrolment.
-OPCFHK reserves the right to close the registration any time, whether before or after the registration deadline specified, without prior notification.
2. Age Limits
(as of March 22, 2020)
Participants of ‘Individual Timed Challenge’ and ‘Corporate Champion Cup’ must be aged between 16 and 75. Participants of ‘3km Fun Run’ individual entry must be aged between 12 and 75; while participants of ‘3km Fun Run’ family entry must include at least one participant aged between 18 and 75 and one participant aged below 12; the remaining participants in the team should be aged between 0 and 75. All participants below 18 must obtain consent from his/her parent or guardian while participants aged below 12 must be registered and accompanied by an adult aged between 18 and 75. Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK) reserves the right to verify the age of participants before, during and after the event.
3. Physical Conditions
Participants must ensure that they are physically fit to participate in the event. Any person who is pregnant or suffering from any chronic disease such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not participate in the event. OPCFHK reserves the right to disallow /disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event.
4. Race
- Race winners will be required to present their identification including HK identity card, passport or registration card for people with disabilities for verification.
- Participants must withdraw and leave the race course/event venue immediately if requested by any race official, medical staff, race director or security staff.
- Participants shall indemnify and/or reimburse the Organizer in respect of any additional expenses or costs incurred by the Organizer arising from or in connection with the fault or action or behavior of such participants during participation in the event.
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions. Should there be any dispute, the Organizer/Event Producer reserves the right to the final decision.
- In case of violation, breach or non‐observance of any terms and conditions of the event, OPCFHK reserves the right to disqualify any person and / or nullify his or her result. OPCFHK shall not be obliged to refund any donation and issue certificate under such circumstances.
5. Awards
Only the completion time of participants in the "10km Individual Timed Challenge" and "Corporate Champion Cup" will be recorded for race awards. The completion time of participants in the 3km Fun Run will not be recorded.
6. Event T-Shirt
T-shirt is provided on a first come first served basis during registration and subject to stock availbility. T-shirt in requested size is not guranteed.
7. Race Course
During the event, participants may be required to leave the race course due to the safety concern and route arrangement. Please follow the event crew’s instructions.
8. Use of the Event Photos and Videos
OPCFHK will designate photographers to take photos and videos during the event; OPCFHK has the ownership of these photos and videos and reserves the right to use the photos and videos of the participants taken during the event. The photos and videos will be used for the promotion of OPCFHK, including, but not limited to, monthly e‐newsletter, website, social media, annual reports, etc.

10. Special Circumstances
Route Alternation
OPCFHK reserves the right to change or alter any parts of the route before and during the event without prior notice in case of unexpected road conditions or emergency. The event may be temporarily suspended to give way to emergency vehicles. Participants must follow the instructions of event officials or any law enforcement officers on site at all times.
Event Postponement or Cancellation
- Should the event be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of OPCFHK, all donations will not be returned and OPCFHK shall have no further responsibility and / or liability thereafter. The decision of OPCFHK is final and conclusive.
- The Organizer reserves the right to postpone, cancel or cut short the event for the situations such as adverse weather conditions, protests or blockage along the course and force majeure. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lock outs or disorder, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism.
- The Organizer reserves the right of final decision of the event. Please refer to OPCFHK website, event website and Facebook page for any changes or contingent measures of the event.
Adverse Weather Arrangement
- The enrollment fee and donation is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation or any amendment as a result of adverse weather conditions.
- Please refer to the announcement on OPCFHK website, event website and Facebook page on the race day before 06:00.
- If typhoon signal no. 3 or above, or Red or Black rainstorm warning signal is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory on or before midnight 00:00 on 22 March, 2020, the race and the outdoor game booths will both be cancelled.
- Other than the above scenarios, should weather conditions turn bad or the aforesaid signals are issued during the race, the Organizer may modify or cancel the race and game booths.
- Whether the race has started or not, the Organizer reserves the right to make collective decision for race cancellation.
- If the race is cancelled after it has started, runners will be directed to leave the race course under safe condition by marshals.
