Restore Syrian Life

The 6-year ongoing conflicts in Syria have caused millions of deaths and casualties. 13.5 million people are in urgent needs of humanitarian assistance.

"When we came back, we had nothing, zero. Three of my brothers died. My home was destroyed, just ashes.” Ahmad and his family lived in Homs, western Syria, before the Crisis and were internally displaced for years. They have returned to their homeland to restart their life recently, “We used to breed sheep, my mother used to make cheese to sell in another village. With these sheep, we can regain our future.”

The International Red Cross distributed a total of 1,000 sheep and 10 tons of sheep feed to support returnees in rural Homs and Latakia in December 2016. Apart from livelihood programs, the Red Cross is helping returnees and displaced people with food distribution, water and sanitation programs, healthcare and psychological support services.

Throughout the past six years, the HKRC has been providing continuous humanitarian support in Syria and the neighboring countries, including food, clean water and warm clothing and medical service. Four HKRC medical volunteers were deployed to Jordan, Greece and Lebanon to provide medical service for refugees from Syria and other countries. With the increasing needs on the ground, your support is essential for us to sustain our assistance. We hope to raise HK$1,000,000 and bring hope to more needy Syrians. Please join hands with us to provide continuous humanitarian assistance to the needy in Syria and its neighboring countries.
