Caelestis is a student-led non-school affiliated charity fashion show. All proceeds received on show night are donated to a charity organisation in Philippines, International Care Ministries. This is the second year that we are partnering with ICM to help raise awareness for poverty. This year we are partnering with ICM to raise funds for children with cleft palettes. We hope to raise over 35,000HKD in order for the production of the show to help us achieve this goal.
This year, DCS will hold an annual concert and participate in charitable performances. To further spread its wings, DCS will also be travelling to Japan for an international music exchange and sing for good causes. Many of our members are students or young adults who are not yet financially independent, and do not have the financial means to pay for their travel expenses. Also, running a choir incurs significant ongoing costs and expenses, e.g. music purchase, venue rental, promotion, administration. Our ticket sales from our concerts are not sufficient to cover our expenses and we hence depend on your generosity in supporting our music.
Sai Kung Stray Friends, a community funded non-profit organization in Hong Kong that cares for stray, abandoned and abused dogs, has been in dire need of funds to pay for rent, salaries to the full-time staff, food and medical expenses, and to maintain the beautiful area they have created for their dogs. These challenges are daunting, and eviction and euthanasia are distant but looming possibilities. My name is Ansh Sahay and I am 14. I’ve launched the ‘Save SKSF’ Project to ensure and secure a long lasting future for the foundation, the 100 dogs being taken care of there today, and the hundreds more that will be looked after in the future.
