Have you imagined how is it like to be on a wheelchair changing your clothes? Countless disabled people, especially the physically disabled ones are unable to get budgeted and comfortable clothing. Not to even mention about getting something fashionable that you can go to a Christmas Ball. Everyone wants to look aesthetically beautiful but how about them?

About Care & Dare 2017 – FashionABLED

“FashionABLED” is a campaign that pairs up a group of benevolent fashion designers and a group of disabled models, knowing their needs and then design their own unique FASHION. Our opening ceremony is set on 1430, 13th May at Annex. Each piece of clothes brings a little story and will be shown in our closing ceremony to the public in August.

Our project objectives

  1. To support and encourage local fashion designers to develop cost-effective production line for disabled people, ranging from design research, sizing, fitting, etc;
  2. To raise the awareness of local fashion designers and fashion students, when design clothing and consider fabrics & materials, to consider the specific needs of people living with disability.

Can we do something to help them?

YES. Act now and crowdfund for the winning team of our competition! Funds will be raised for the winning team to start up the first ever innovative fashion line for the disabled people, offering them both budgeted and fashionable clothes.

Because we believe that “In fashion, there is no difference”.

What is the funding for?

Our minimum fund needed is $80,000HK; through the funding raised, the winning team will be able to do sizing and fitting research, design concept, material sourcing, sample making and model fitting as well. Enabling customization for individual disabled people in order to get a full understanding of how more fashionable items can be created through the development process. Without the funding, the winning team's design will not be realised!
