According to the latest information from the Hospital Authority's Hong Kong Cancer Registry (HKCaR), in the year of 2016, a total of 31,468 new cancer cases were diagnosed in Hong Kong. What a high record it is! In Hong Kong, as the population is aging and growing, the number of people suffering from cancers will continue to rise.

In view of this, I decide to take part into the "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2019 - Half Marathon Charity Run". I hope to raise funds for the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society, helping those cancer patients who are unable to pay for their own medicinal drugs. The Society also provides the cancer patients who have financial difficulties to stay in the nursing home, may it be for post-operative rehabilitation, or short term respite care, or palliative care for the last few weeks on earth.
