Hong Kong Metropolitan Phiharmonic Orchestra (HKMPO) and #Heart-to-Heart Life Education Foundation jointly present“Heart-to-Heart Ode to Life Phiharmonic Orchestra Concert x Life Theatre". The orchestra led by conductor Kevin Wong, will bring music that touch your heart and remind us to be grateful for life.
Heart-to-Heart Life Education Foundation volunteers will give life education in drama format with the orchestra, inviting audience to review the meaning of life and to discuss life and death in a positive way.
Date: 1 October 2019 (Tuesday)
Time: 8pm (with pre-talk at 7.15 pm)
Venue: Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall, Central

Hong Kong Metropolitan Philarmonic Orchestra (HKMPO)
The HKMPO was founded by a group of 1980s born amateur musicians. It hopes to spread positive messages and help people in need through this concert.
Revenue, after deduction of the costs, will be used to support Heart-to-Heart Life Education Foundation
Goal: HK$250, 000
The Funds raised will be used to
- Inviting 100 elders/bereaved family members / elderly home residents to the conert x life theatre
- Support H2H’s operation costs in 2020 , which include:
- Community Education: organizing talks and experiential activities to promote life and death education
- Visit and Peer Support: volunteer training, visits to elders who live without a caretaker or in an old age home; matching bereaved family members with a peer who had gone through similar experience.
- Support Service for Bereaved Families: the services cover councelling, support for adaptation, social and financial support and occupational support.
- Research on policies and systems relating to death and dying with an aim to enhance awareness on death and the professional standard of life education

Heart-to-Heart Ode to Life Photography Contest
At the same time, the photography contest hosted by Heart-to-Heart Life Education Foundation is aimed to encourage members of the public to get across positive messages about life and help promote the concept of “being open-minded and open-heart to death and dying” and “making the most of one’s life and preparing well for one’s death”

Award-winning photography exhibition
Winning entries will exhibited at City Hall on 1 October 2019 at the venue of the concert x life theatre.The photo exhibition will be moved to the art gallery of Prince Edward MTR station after the concert.
