“Cane-a-thon” International White Cane Day 2017

"Cane-a-thon” International White Cane Day 2017 will be held on 8 October (Sunday) in Tsing Yi Promenade. A group of visually impaired persons will be holding their white cane and walk independently in the "Cane-a-thon” to embrace the spirit of Independence, the core message of the International White Cane Day. Participants can wear a blindfold and let a visually impaired person to lead their way, or they can form a team of two, each taking turn to wear a blindfold to get a taste of what it is like to be visually impaired. The whole journey takes about an hour to complete.
