Established in June 2014, Kowloon City Book Fair aims to embrace diverse culture, to promote education and to raise social awareness by organizing Kowloon City Book Fair annually.
Organized by Kowloon City Book Fair and jointly planned by Roundtable Community and HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity, the Kowloon City Book Fair has been one of the most popular cultural events in Hong Kong. It demonstrates the liveliness of our community, the creativity of our youth, and the vibrancy of Hong Kong.
Through a wide range of talks, sharing, exhibitions, movie shows and performances, together with the book stores and local “flea market” which will be lined with stalls operated by local young artists, we hope to bring out the best side of Hong Kong. In turn everyone enjoy an eventful and fruitful weekend in Kowloon City, one of the most interesting community in Hong Kong.

首屆九龍城書節於2009年舉行，承接牛棚書展的人文精神與自主理念，持續推動獨立、自發自助的民間書節，同時亦積極成為一個具創新思維的平台，為不同富創意和視野的團體/組織提供展示或倡議的機會。
九龍城書節於2014年6月正式成立註冊為社團， 籌辦九龍城書節及推廣文化、教育及關懷社會活動為宗旨，並以自負盈虧的方式營運。
2014年的《九龍城書節》，由九龍城書節主辦、香港兆基創意書院及Roundtable Community共同策劃，將會繼續是一個充滿文化氣息的民間書展。今年更以「行\遊」為主題，將配合不同的文化藝術，以及新穎題材的講座，加上有不同類型的文化藝術展覽和表演，給到場者一個嶄新的書展體驗，更可以透過研討會、講座，在閱讀以外，透視香港的另一面。
《九龍城書節》引入不同視野觸覺探究香港不同層面的時事和發展，當中的議題包括有國際視角、經濟發展、社會企業等等。書展更特設文化藝術展區，也有精彩的音樂表演，務求使書節變得更多元化！
每年書展，都會有超過20個大小出版社及書局參與書展，展出圖書以社會科學、文學、藝術、旅遊等類型為主，並為讀者提供低至七折的折扣；當中更有公民地攤出售二手書、二手光碟等等。公民地攤，由小飾物、衣服、環保袋到雜誌和音樂，製成品顯示出一眾八、九十後青年人迸發出的創意！

群衆集資的目的及如何使用資金
目的：
- 推廣「九龍城書節」
- 帶動社會閱讀文化氣氛
- 提供多元書節活動給地區人士參與
- 鼓勵創意手作市集，給予有想法的創作者一個平台展示作品
群眾集資後的資金將會用作支持「九龍城書節」的營運開支，包括活動內容推廣和宣傳、租用場地、活動及人手安排等費用。所有資金將會投入在「九龍城書節」活動項目的開支，而不會作其他用途。如有剩餘資金，它們將會全數撥入慈善機構Roundtable Community用作2015年度「九龍城書節」的營運開支。

宣傳計劃
社交媒體
本書節設有Facebook 專頁作為宣傳和資訊更新用途。就過去五年經驗所得，Facebook 是一個頗有效的途徑用以宣傳活動。不少地攤申請者均是從Facebook獲得資訊，加上網上平台也是大勢所趨，因而Facebook宣傳也會是其中一個主要途徑。
印刷媒體
「九龍城書節」每年均會印刷一本小冊子，當中會列出活動內容及時間表，亦包括參展書商、參與講者和嘉賓等，並會派發到各書商及其他友好團體，以作宣傳。
共同策劃機構
「九龍城書節」由香港兆基創意書院及Roundtable Community共同策劃，各策劃機構均會各自宣傳活動，也會協助籌辦講座、工作坊、表演等。
