About Us
The Boys’ Brigade, Hong Kong was established in 1959. As a Christian uniformed group, we strive to nurture children and teenagers aged 3 to 21. Through our Christian education and leadership training programmes, young people can build up positive attitude and good character traits. Our whole-person training system can also help bring them up as servant leaders that can use their talent to create an energetic and harmonious society.


Event Description
Anchor Run is a sports fund-raising campaign organized by the Boys’ Brigade, Hong Kong which aims to increase the cohesion among youth and the society, meanwhile, to arouse public attention on the developmental needs of children and teenagers for a brighter future of the next generation. The event also endeavors to facilitate participants’ understanding on the importance of collegiality with the experience of conquering challenges together with family and friends.

Important Notice

  1. Briefing
  • Successfully registered participants can come in person or through an authorized representative to attend the briefing meeting on 22 th November 2018, to collect the race pack and learn more about the event’s details.

 

  1. Collection of Race Pack
  • Successfully registered participants will receive a notification of collection of race pack by email in mid-November. If you have not received such email by 13th November 2018, please contact our PR & Fundraising Department at 2714 5400 for assistance on the specified collection dates. Participants must collect their race pack which includes a race bib with baggage tape (attached with a timing chip), race tee and other souvenirs. The race bib attached timing chip is not transferable. If participants are unable to collect the race pack during the collection period, he/she would need to inform our PR & Fundraising Department in writing, providing valid justification and the preferred date and time for collection.
  • The timing chip is embedded at the back of the race bib. Please DO NOT fold it, or it will affect its timing function.
  • Race tee and souvenirs are available while stocks last.

 

  1. Transportation
  • Participants shall travel to the venue by their own means.
  • Public transport:


 ^ KMB 272S &43P only run during peak hours in the morning Monday to Saturday. Please leave the venue by taking other means of transportation.

  • Participants who drive to the venue can park their cars at the public car park of Hong Kong Science Park.

 

  1. Arrangement for storage of Baggage
  • Baggage storage service will be provided by the Organizer for all participants. The service shall be available at 08:00. Please do NOT put any valuable items in the baggage to be stored. The Organizer will not be liable for any loss of or damage to the baggage stored.
  • Participants must use the baggage tag supplied by the organizer. Participants are required to present their race bibs for baggage collection at the end of the race.

 

  1. Terms & Conditions
  • The Organizer reserves the right to limit and refuse any enrollment. Participants who have successfully completed the registration process agree to be abided by the rules and regulations of established by the organizer.
  • The Organizer will acquire personal accident insurance for all participants. Participants may purchase additional personal accident insurance in accordance with their own needs.
  • Participants must ensure that they are physically fit to join the event.
  • Participants should follow the Organizer’s instructions and arrangements.
  • The Organizer reserves the right of final decision on the results of the race. No appeal mechanism is available.
  • In case you are feeling sick during the event, you should immediately approach the officials in the vicinity for assistance.
  • Bad Weather Arrangements:If Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signals or Tropical Cyclone Signal No.3 or above is in effect at 6:00 a.m. on the day of the event, the event will be cancelled and rescheduled. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the Organizer and posted on the Organizer's webpage shall prevail.
  • No refund will be made, if the event is cancelled due to bad weather or other circumstances, or the participants withdraw for whatever reasons.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to alter all the above terms and conditions without prior notice.
